Your guide to Armenia's stories, landscapes, and people
My name is Alexa Young
I am a professional tourist guide, tour leader, and tourism professional with nearly two decades of experience in Armenia’s tourism industry. Since beginning my journey in tourism in 2007, I have had the privilege of working with travelers from all over the world, creating meaningful experiences and lasting memories.
Outside of work, I am passionate about photography, hiking, yoga, swimming, Armenian folk dance, and discovering new places.
Respect for nature, animals, local communities, and cultural heritage is an important part of my philosophy. I believe tourism should create positive connections between people while helping preserve the places we love for future generations.

Beyond guiding, I am also experienced in tour management, logistics, and event organization.
Recently, I organized a destination wedding in Armenia for 160 guests from 22 countries, including pre-wedding events, sightseeing programs, transportation, venue coordination, and the wedding celebration itself. Projects like these reflect my passion for organization and my ability to manage large-scale events and the smallest details.
In addition to my guiding work, I serve as Vice President of the Armenia Association of Professional Tourist Guides, where I am actively involved in professional development, training programs for guides, wine tourism education, and various social initiatives. I also work as a trainer, helping future guides develop their skills and knowledge.
Before entering tourism, I worked with a media NGO and the Armenian Red Cross Society, where I became a First Aid instructor. These experiences strengthened my communication skills, sense of responsibility, and ability to work with people from different backgrounds.
